WE ARE AN ARTIST COMMUNITY
Olathe Visual Artists mission is to expand the enjoyment of the fine arts within the Olathe community and encouraging the promotion of local artists. Olathe visual Artists is a nonprofit group who awards an annual scholarship to college bound Olathe High School Seniors, who plan to major in the Arts, Engineering, or Architecture. Olathe Visual Artists also sponsors adult and children classes, hosts Art Fairs, and is part of the Olathe Arts Alliance.
By joining the Olathe Visual Artists group, you can attend educational workshops such as Plein-Aire painting events, art history speakers, and demonstrations of different art techniques. You will be able to teach a class or display and sell your art twice a year at the First Art Gallery of Olathe. Olathe Visual Artists has a small MARKETPLACE that is located in the First Art Gallery of Olathe where members may sell their art. Participating artists receive 80% of their sale after commission, with no working obligation to the Art Gallery.
The annual fee is $40.00 and is tax deductible. We invite all interested artists and art appreciators to join.
We offer local artists fellowship and opportunities to improve their skills and show their work.

Our theme this month is "Abstraction", we will have classes and artwork in the gallery celebrating our theme. Our featured artist this month is Anne Lormis showing her original paintings. Stop in and meet the artist and enjoy the celebration of "Abstraction".
Our music this month are the "Wheat State Sax Quartet" Please join us in our celebration of our theme "Abstraction".
